Go Pro Kit comes with the following:

  1. Waterproof Case
  2. Mount
  3. GoPro Camera
  4. Mount
  5. USB cable to connect the camera to computer
  6. Non Waterproof back for waterproof case to record better audio
  7. Sticky base plate square
  8. Sticky base plate round
  9. Battery
  10. Wifi Remote attachment keyring
  11. Micro SD card and Micro SD adapter to SD (use the adapter to load the micro SD card into a card reader)
  12. Camera Back
  13. Camera USB cover
  14. Cable management ring
  15. Wifi remote
  16. Wifi remote USB charger (use this to charge the remote)

 

  1. Remove the cover to the USB ports on the camera.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card into the card slot till you hear it click in. May need a ballpoint pen to assist with pushing in the card.

  1. Charge the camera. Connect the USB cable to the camera and then to a USB port on a computer.
  2. The camera will have a red blinking light on the front that will flash until the camera is charged.

  1. Charge the WIFI remote also by connecting the USB adapter to a computer

  1. Pair your HERO3 Camera and Wi-Fi Remote
  2. Make sure your camera and remote have a full charge and are powered OFF.

  1. Get your HERO3 camera ready for pairing mode
  2. Power ON the HERO3 camera

  1. Press the Wi-Fi button on the left side of the camera with the lens facing you. You'll see a blue LED blink every couple of seconds to show that you camera's Wi-Fi is turned on.

  • Now that the blue LED is blinking, press the Wi-Fi button one more time to show the WiFi menu on the camera's front LCD screen.

 

  • Now that you're in the Wi-Fi menu, you need to select some settings.

 

  • To navigate the menu, use the camera's front (Power) button to highlight menu options. Use the camera's top (Shutter) button to make selections.

  • In the Wi-Fi menu, press the camera's front button until "Wi-Fi RC" is highlighted.







  • Now that it's highlighted, you want to select it. Press the camera's top button to select "Wi-Fi RC".


  • On the next screen you'll have some options. One of them is "New".
  • Press the front button until "New" is highlighted put the camera down now and pick up the GoPro Remote.

 

  • Next set up the GoPro Remote pairing steps

 

  • With the remote powered OFF, press and hold the red Shutter button on the remote.

 

  • While continuing to hold the red button, press the Power button once briefly. The remote will power on and show two arrows moving towards each other. You can let go of the red button at this time.

  • Now the remote is in pairing mode.

 

  • Put down your remote and pick up the camera again.

 

  • Part 3 - Finish pairing the WiFi Remote and HERO3 camera

 

  • "New" should still be highlighted on the camera.

Press the top Shutter button on your camera to select "New".

  • If you see "Detach current remote?" Highlight and select "Yes". After that, you should see two arrows moving towards each other on the camera's screen.

 

  • This means that the camera is in pairing mode. Note – the camera is in pairing mode only when its screen shows the two arrows moving towards each other.

    • At this point, the camera and remote should both show arrows moving towards each other. After one minute or less, the camera and remote should each show a checkbox on their screens.

  • If the Remote asks you to pair another, press the white button to highlight "No", then press the red button to select it.
  • If the remote shows a radiating Wi-Fi signal after the camera shows a checkbox, press the red button on the remote. This should make the Remote's LCD screen mirror the camera's front LCD screen, indicating that pairing was successful.

Press the Wi-Fi button on the side of the HERO3 camera select "GoPro App"
On your tablet or phone In your smart phone or tablet's Wi-Fi Network settings, connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network.

Go to Settings

Select the Wi-Fi settings

Select the RTFGOPRO wireless

Enter the Password

RTFGOPRO

Go pro will search for network and connect after a few seconds

After wifi has connected launch the GoPro App

Press Connect and Control

Next Pair the Camera with the GoPro APP

  1. Press the Wi-Fi button on the left side of the camera with the lens facing you. You'll see a blue LED blink every couple of seconds to show that you camera's Wi-Fi is turned on.

 

  • Now that the blue LED is blinking, press the Wi-Fi button one more time to show the WiFi menu on the camera's front LCD screen.
  • Now that you're in the Wi-Fi menu, you need to select some settings.
  • To navigate the menu, use the camera's front (Power) button to highlight menu options. Use the camera's top (Shutter) button to make selections.

  • In the Wi-Fi menu, press the camera's front button until "Wi-Fi RC" is highlighted.
  • Now that it's highlighted, you want to select it. Press the camera's top button to select "GOPROAPP".

Next step is to load the camera into the plastic enclosure.

To open the case press your thumb to the side of arrow and
slide arrow latch in the direction of the arrow

Use other thumb to lift hinged arm over the housing and remove the HERO3.

Put the camera into the case and shut the "backdooor."

Note there are two different kinds of backdoors.

The Skeleton Backdoor
non-waterproof, better sound reduces wind noise, recommended for use
inside vehicles. Don't use near water or sand etc.

The Standard Backdoor makes the housing waterproof to 197'/60m.
Use this door when you need to protect the camera from water and other environmental hazards.

  • To close the case


  • Hook grooved portion of hinged arm to grooved top of the backdoor.



  • Use one finger to push down the latch arm to snap into place.
