Our main copy room (across from the director's office) additionally has cabinets full of supplies such as pens, post-its, paper trays, staplers, etc. Feel free to use it.

You can also send furniture to surplus if it is broken or you no longer need it.

There are now three ways you can save money and the environment with UT Austin’s Surplus Property:

  1. The UT REUSE Surplus Store is now open to the public on Thursdays from 3:00-7:00 p.m.! Items are priced to sell, and our “Dutch Auction” pricing allows for 25% price drops on a monthly basis. The UT REUSE Surplus Store is located at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Rd., Building P30, Austin, TX 78758. Just look for the signs!

  2. Don’t forget about the UT Surplus Online Auctions! New items are posted every 5-10 days for bidding. Hundreds of items are offered each month. After a quick, 2-minute registration, you can bid on items from the comfort of your home, office or smart phone. Winning bids can be picked up at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus Surplus Property locations Monday-Friday from 8:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m. Current UT Surplus Online Auctions items can be found at https://Tinyurl.com/UTauction.

  3. Save your department the high cost of buying new furnishings and help UT Austin achieve our Zero Waste goals! UT Surplus Property has Open Selection for UT staff and faculty every Friday from 8:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m. Thousands of items are available for redistribution back to university departments at no charge (delivery fees may apply).
