The Physics Education Forum is a weekly seminar/discussion group that explores all aspects of physics teaching and physics education. Meetings are often informal resembling a discussion more than seminar and are open to anyone with an interest in physics education - undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and visitors.

The forum was founded in the Fall of 2009 with three primary goals:

  1. To identify and connect people with an interest in teaching in order to foster discussions and collaborations.

  2. To promote teaching within the physics department by giving instructors who are trying new and innovative things in their classes an opportunity to talk about their efforts and receive recognition for their work.

  3. To learn about physics education research and how to incorporate research-based teaching methods into our own classes.
