• Provide daily administrative support to the Operations and Communications Manager, with duties to include filing, correspondence, scheduling, attending meetings and generating related minutes.
  • Assist in faculty, staff and student-related human resource activities, including assignments, searches, on-boarding, promotion and tenure, awards and leave.
  • Assist with maintenance of departmental wiki site, including updating content and navigation.
  • Manage official department-wide events, including opening night receptions, faculty achievement celebrations, convocation and commencement receptions and select student affairs and community events. Coordination may include but is not limited to budgeting, venue management, invitation, RSVPs, vendors and media services.

  • Post positions, interview and hire all student workers, including main office receptionists and back office support staff and after-hours building monitors (10-12 employees per semester).
  • Train student workers and implement procedures/expectations within their positions.
  • Ensure concerns are addressed/job duties are being completed.
  • Schedule student worker shifts.
  • Timesheet management.
  • Serve as the back-up to the reception desk as needed.

  • Serve as a back-up administrator in ArtsVision; managing non-course related room reservation requests.

  • Support the Building Manager in submitting and tracking general maintenance needs (basic repairs; custodial) for the department’s facilities.

  • Oversee maintenance, reservations, staff/faculty training and records for two departmental vehicles.
