Installation & Training
For Installation requests:
- your supervisor needs to request install on your behalf by sending an email to meridian@austin.utexas.edu with your:
- Name
- EID
- Department
- Computer name
- Level of access = Explorer
- Meridian staff will assign access for you and request installation on your behalf.

- For training requests, send an email to meridian@austin.utexas.edu with the following:
- Your department name
- User level
- Names and EIDs of people to be trained
- Preferred dates and times
Browser Compatibility
- Meridian Explorer is developed to be compatible with Internet Explorer (IE). Occasionally users experience access denied errors; follow the steps directly below before attempting to use alternate browsers.
- Launch Internet Explorer 11
Click on the Settings Gear at the top and select: Compatibility View Settings
In the top field - called “Add this website” – type in utexas.edu
Click the Add button
Close the Compatibility View Settings window
- Alternate browsers can be used, but the IE Tab plug-in must be installed & configured.
