Job Description
The position will be expected to assist the UGS Business Office - IT with the following functions: 

  • Provide technical assistance to customers for solving software, hardware, and network issues across a range of Windows and Mac platforms and various applications and tools
  • Prepare and maintain/update Excel spreadsheets 
  • Produce documentation and update wiki
  • Organize files and records 
  • Assist with gathering data and processing reports
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining IT services
  • Other IT office duties as assigned

Qualifications
Student at the University of Texas at Austin with a Work Study award. Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly and work independently. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Mac and PC environments. Experience with Networking and Security. Experience in IT customer service and/or a help desk environment. Experience working in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.
