  1. I need to add a new employee to help administer and maintain our Wiki site: facultycouncil. Her EID is ALT2495; Tess Atieno. Please advise as to how I do that.

  2. Good afternoon Debbie,

         In this case it appears that Tess had not logged into the University Wiki Service at the time you tried to grant her permissions for your space.  In a case like this, the new employee (Tess) would just visit wikis.utexas.edu and log in, the first time someone does this it will create an account for the new employee.

          After they have logged in, the space administrator (you) can select "Space Tools" in the bottom left corner of your screen and then select "Permissions."  Within the permissions page, the space admin can select "Edit Permissions" and enter the person's EID or name.  The admin can then select the appropriate permissions by clicking on the check boxes.  Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Save" as it is located further down the page.

          If you would like to remove access (for example if someone is leaving your department or the University) you can go to the Permissions page and select "Edit Permissions" then deselect all of the options for that person.  Once more select "Save" at the bottom of the page.
