Proof of Attendance Receipts

Immediately after seeing a performance, Theatre and Dance majors will request a Proof of Attendance Receipt from a Front of House manager or usher in the theatre lobby. This receipt includes the title of the production, date of the performance, and space for the student's name. Students are to write their name on the receipt and drop it in the designated box in The Main Administrative Office (WIN 1.142). Proof of Attendance Receipts are not available at any time other than immediately following the performance the student attended.

Students must submit their Proof of Attendance receipt to the designated box in The Main Administrative Office by the Friday following the final performance of the show. The submission box will be available the first business day following the show's first public performance. Only Proof of Attendance Receipts (not ticket stubs, envelopes, programs, etc.) with students' names written legibly will be accepted. No exceptions will be allowed by the main office for these policies. Faculty may work with their students for an exception when appropriate.

Proof of Attendance Receipts submitted after their deadlines will not be accepted. Submission deadlines are as follows:

  • Refugia
    • Receipts due by 2/20/15
  • MOVE!

Major's Pass/Major's Ticket Package

Beginning this academic year, the Major’s Pass is being replaced by a Major’s Ticket Package. Available exclusively to Department of Theatre and Dance majors, the package provides six tickets to the 2015-2016 Theatre and Dance performances at a savings of 30% off student ticket prices. Best yet, the package allows majors to secure their ticket in advance of the performance and thereby guarantee their seat. Students may purchase the package on the department's TXShop Store. Information regarding this package must be included in syllabi for majors’ courses.

Proof of Attendance Receipts

The department will no longer issue Proof of Attendance receipts following a production. A list of students who have purchased the Major’s Ticket Package may be provided to instructors as needed.
