An overview of the Financial Resources Management System, including scholarship payments, can be found on UT Direct. 

A memo requesting payment must be sent to the UGS business office on UGS or departmental letterhead to initiate scholarship payment including:

    • Amount of the awards 
    • Recipient(s) (Name & EID)
    • Brief description of the scholarship and selection criteria
    • Statement certifying student's notification of award's impact on financial aid and potential tax implications 
  • Payments are processed via the Awards System
  • Final approval on scholarships will come from the associate dean

Students should let the awarding department know their preferred payment method. They can update their local and/or permanent addresses here and their direct deposit information here.
