Check that the WHITE Thunderbolt cable is plugged into the IMac

Make sure the other end of the WHITE - Thunderbolt cable is plugged into the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro as shown here.

Log into the computer



Go to System Prefs



Go to Blackmagic Desktop Video

Click on Settings Button

Click on Video>
Choose Video Output > Select Component and choose 1080p23.98

Click on Audio Tab (if there is one) > Click on RCA

Click on Save


Close the Desktope Video click the red button in the corner

Back to System Preferences

Select Sound


Select Output Tab > Blackmagic Option

If you have video you would like to use in your protools session turn on the TV

MAKE SURE THAT THE SOURCE IS SET TO COMPONENT -


PRESS THE SOURCE BUTTON UNDERNEATH THE "9" KEY TO SET

INPUTS ON THE MONITOR - Don't change this should be set correctly but just in case it should be set

to component input.

If you are in suite CMB 1.108B then you have a newer Monitor and have this remote


Power and Input buttons will be what you need.


Input should be on HDMI

Select the application that you want to run AVID or Davinci Resolve or Premiere

AVID you need to make sure the Software sees the Blackmagic Design Input and Output device


On the timeline there is a small TV icon RIGHT click it with the Mouse and choose Intensity Extreme

Set Adobe Premiere Pro Playback Settings to Play on the Monitor and Speakers

Choose "Premiere Pro CC > Preferences > Playback..."

Choose Blackmagic Playback


Click OK

Choose "Premiere Pro CC > Preferences > Audio Hardware..."
Make sure you Preferences look like this
If you get this error click Yes
Click OK

Don't forget to pan

channel 1 LEFT

&

channel 2 RIGHT

and don't use any other tracks

USE ONLY TRACK MIXER

not CLIP MIXER

Some of the Suites on the 1st floor have a Mixer. The mixer settings are shown here.



Channel 1 and 2 are AVID playback are ProTools playback


Also turn up the Master audio on the Board labeled Volume

Some suites have the Mackie Big Knob

ProTools and AVID Inputs are labeled and use Monitor Select B


make sure Mute is not pressed
