With the advent of next generation sequencing, our ability to generate data is growing at a pace faster than our ability to store and analyze it. A bioinformatician’s task is to identify patterns from these massive amounts of data in order to answer biological questions. Starting with a high throughput sequencing data set, we will explore methods for analyzing it using computer algorithms and statistical tools.
