IMPORTANT: The web server employs a security mechanism which will automatically block access to the server from your computer if you perform 6 failed login attempts within a 10 minute window. The block will remain in effect for 30 minutes after which the block on your computer will be automatically removed. If you inadvertantly block yourself you will need to wait 30 minutes before trying to log into the server again or you may contact LTC Technical Support at help@edb.utexas.eduto request a manual removal of your computer's block. Please have your computer's IP address ready if you contact Technical Support. You can obtain your computer's IP address by visting visiting the URLhttp://www.whatismyip.com.

If you want to use an SFTP program other than Filezilla, here is the relevent SFTP server information you will needsuch as Fetch for macOS or Bitvise for Windows. You'll need to connect to the web server with the following settings:
    • Server Address: www www.edb.utexas.edu
    • Port: 53622
