Turn on the scanner

Green light will flash a few times before

staying on green when the unit is powered up

Make sure the Firewire to USB cable with

Adapters is connected to the IMac

See Example

NOW Restart the IMac for best results = Suggested


The Slide door must be in the up position before

inserting the slide tray

Load the slide tray with slides

Open VueScan


Now pull down the slide door and insert the trey with the Arrow

pointing towards the scanner

Now pull down the slide door and insert the trey with the Arrow

pointing towards the scanner


You will feel a click or resistance when you've pushed in the 

tray completely and the scanner will take control of it.


May have to pull tray out and push up the slide door and then back down to engage

the tray properly

DON'T FORCE THE TRAY IT'LL BREAK IT


Set these options or modify if you choose

  1. Options = Standard
  2. Source = LS800
  3. Media = Image
  4. Batch Scan Auto
  5. Frame number = 1
  6. Default Folder is where you want the images to be saved
  7. File Type JPEG
  8. JPEG file name year day date


Press Preview to see the image and crop or if you want the whole image press

>Scan


After you scan the first slide change the Frame number to 2 to scan the next one


After you scan the second slide change the Frame number to 3 to scan the next one

Keep going till you scan the whole tray of 5 slides if you have filled the tray

When you are finished quit VueScan and the tray will eject and you can remove your

slides to insert new ones

or you can hit the eject button if you don't want to quit VueScan
