LAITS will continue to handle bulk computer purchases on a yearly basis as part of the Generations program, however, purchasing computers between cycles will now be the responsibility of Departmental Administrative staff. In an attempt to make the transition easier we have created a step-by-step guide for the Administrative Staff who will now be responsible for these purchases. It will be important to follow the directions to ensure your order is accurate and meets the LAITS minimum required specifications. 

 

Lets get Started... 

Apple products can be purchased directly from the Campus Computer Store but to get the correct models at the lowest price, the recommendation is to login to the Apple Store E-Commerce Website. This will give more options than the Campus Computer Store website and generally better pricing. If you have not used the Apple Store for Education Institution website to purchase apple products, you will need to create an account. This step requires an @austin.utexas.edu email address to create an AppleID.

Admin does the purchase, ship to LAITS, we'll prepare and deploy. 

 

Ship to MEZ information.

Fill out survey to report your purchase. When computer is delivered we are expecting your shipment. IT will also give us details about who is to receive the machine and its intended use case.
