LAITS Update & Reboot Policy

The Information Security Office (ISO) requires LAITS to regularly update all University-owned computers. Our goal is to make this process as convenient as possible but we must balance convenience with security.

You will need to occasionally restart your computer to apply these updates. Please regularly save your work to minimize the impact of this process.  

Windows/PC Users are encouraged to leave their computers on over the weekend so that updates can apply automatically.

Mac users will see a LAITS branded popup encouraging them to apply software updates.
