The following software is specifically used in particular IROM undergraduate courses.

    7-Zip — 7-Zip is a free utility for extracting files from a compressed archive. Mac users should use StuffitExpander instead.

    Adobe Flash Player — Adobe® Flash® Player is a lightweight browser plug-in and rich Internet application runtime that delivers consistent and engaging user experiences, stunning audio/video playback, and exciting gameplay.

    Adobe Reader — Adobe® Reader® software is the free global standard for reliably viewing, printing, and commenting on PDF documents.

    It's the only PDF file viewer that can open and interact with all types of PDF content, including forms and multimedia.

    Adobe Shockwave Player — Adobe Shockwave Player gives access to some of the best content the Web has to offer - including dazzling 3D games and entertainment, interactive product demonstrations, and online learning applications. Shockwave Player displays Web content that has been created using Adobe Director.

    Apple Quicktime — A powerful multimedia technology with a built-in media player, QuickTime lets you view Internet video, HD movie trailers, and personal media in a wide range of file formats. And it lets you enjoy them in remarkably high quality.

    Cisco Anyconnect — Cisco AnyConnect is a Virtual Private Network program that lets you establish a secure, remote network connection to the University network from off campus. It is used to connect to many systems that are accessible only to campus networks and to users connecting in using the VPN.

    Cisco Packet Tracer — Cisco Packet Tracer is a network simulator that can be utilized in training for Cisco certification exams by allowing students to create networks to experience troubleshooting without having to buy real Cisco routers or switches.

    Cloudera QuickStart VM — This VM contains a single-node Apache Hadoop cluster including Cloudera Manager, example data, queries, and scripts.
  • Page:
    Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers — Eclipse is an OpenSource Integrated Development Environment (IDE) available for both Windows and MacOs. It may be used to program in many programming languages but is used to program in Java in certain business school courses.

    Enthought Python Canopy Express — Enthought Python Canopy Express is a particular distribution of the Python programming language. The full version costs money, but MIS 373 uses the free "express" version of this software.

    FileZilla — FileZilla is a cross-platform FTP application that supports FTP, SFTP, and FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS). Support for SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) is NOT implemented in FileZilla Server.

    Microsoft Office Pro (Access) — Access is a part of the Microsoft Office suite and is an easy-to-use tool for quickly creating browser-based database applications. Your data is automatically stored in a SQL database and can be easily shared with colleagues. NOTE: Available for Windows only.
