Here is the projector loaded with a reel of film.
This is the final setup and the rest of the wiki will show you
how to wind the film properly.

  1. Pull up the arms on the projector you will use the blackcord to hold each arm up as shown here

there is a tricky metal flap between the projector arms that needs
to be in this up position to load the film.

Hinged for the loading of film through the gate and unhinged to hold the film flat on gate for projection playback

Put in Hinged position (shown here) for the loading of film through the gate

Un- hinge it to hold the film flat to the gate.

Thread the film through the sprockets following the guide lines in red. Make sure the film sprockets are on the correct side. Only one side of the film has sprockets.

Here is the guide of how to load the film. Follow the red arrows in this diagram as well as the red lined arrows on the projector itself.

Close up of the lower winding path that is confusing -

NOTE YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS PART OF THE WIND PATH UNLESS YOU HAVE AUDIO ON THE FILM BUT IT DOESN'T HURT TO DO IT.

Film out to To Take up reel

Make sure all the gates are locked

  1. Upper gate make sure it is closed

  1. Make sure the hinge is un-hinged
