Step-by-step Guide: Creating a New Feature
- Select the layer desired for geometric edit to open the right side panel.
- Click the edit icon in the right side panel.
- In the editor box click Add Feature. Keep in mind if there is more then one editable layer in Map Viewer there is a prompt to select the desired feature.
4. For a polygon or a polyline draw the geometry of the new feature in the desired location. Double click to complete the new features geometry. For a point select the location of the new feature.
5. Fill out the table information specific to the new feature.
6. Click Add.
Helpful Tips
Discarding New Feature: Users can discard a new feature with the following steps.
- Click the back arrow located at the top left of the edit box.
- Select Discard Feature located at the bottom of the edit box.
Eye Icon: Used to turn Layer visibility on and off.
Pencil Icon: Used to rename Web Map, Layers, or titles.
Collapse Panels: Both the left and right side panels can be collapsed to view more or the web map itself by clicking Collapse found at the bottom of both side panels.
