Event Entry Information

  1.  An entry form will be sent to all registered participants the week of the event.
  2.  Each participant may enter as many events as they wish.
  3.  Current and former collegiate rowers from any university are not eligible for the Intramural divisions.

Team Entry Information

  1. To compete for team points, a team must consist of at least 4 participants and a maximum of 8 participants.
  2. A coed team must consist of a minimum of 2 males and 2 females, and a maximum of 4 males and 4 females.
  3. Teams may enter a maximum of 2 relay teams.
  4. Coed relay teams must be comprised of 2 males and 2 females.

Order of Events - Heats followed by Finals if necessary

  • Women’s Individual 1000m 
  • Men’s Individual 1000m 
  • Women’s Individual 500m
  • Men’s Individual 500m
  • Women’s 2000m Relay
  • Men’s 2000m Relay
  • Coed 2000m Relay 

Individual Event Instructions

  1. Each participant will be randomly assigned to a heat.
  2. The top 10 times will advance to the final (if necessary).
  3. Participants must be seated on their assigned erg at least 5 min prior to their start time.
  4. Each participant may have 1 individual seated behind them to serve as a "coxswain" (reference pictures of erg rodeo)
  5. The coxswain does not have to be a registered participant in the rodeo.  

Relay Instructions

  1. Relays will be timed finals 
  2. Each participant on the team must erg ~500m before switching (Participants are encouraged to switch off at the 1500m, 1000m and 500m mark). 
  3. Relay teams with participants seen completing significantly more than 500m will be disqualified .
  4. Relay teams have the freedom to decide the order in which they erg. 
  5. Relay teams may not interfere with other relay teams.
  6. Each relay team must have 1 participant on their assigned erg at least 5 min prior to their start time. 

Scoring

  1. Scoring for each individual event will be for the top 10 times as follows: 13, 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1
  2. Scoring for each relay even will be for the top 5 times as follows: 18, 16, 14, 12, 10

Awards

  1. The overall winner of each individual event in the Men’s and Women’s divisions will receive an Intramural Champion T-shirt and an Erg Rodeo Belt Buckle Trophy.
  2. Winning relay teams in each division will receive an Intramural Champion T-shirt.
  3. If overall team competition is held, members of the winning teams in each division will receive an Intramural Champion T-shirt.  Team members who have won a shirt for an individual event or a relay will not be awarded an additional shirt.
