Please remember that you must ask permission prior to agreeing to teach in any UT programs outside the Department (such as Senior Fellows, Plan II, Liberal Arts Honors, etc.) It is not automatic that you would be released from your RTF teaching and other duties.
The Chair and Associate Chairs must review the Department’s own teaching needs carefully before releasing faculty to teach in other programs. The Department is in principle supportive of faculty extra-departmental teaching and will accommodate whenever possible, but please contact the department administrator or Chair BEFORE beginning discussions with other programs.
