SAMStat is a lightweight tool for visualizing the mapping output in a SAM file. The usage is:
samstat <file.sam>
and the output is an HTML file with the same filename as the input, plus .html appended to the end.
Note that you need to view the HTML file in a web browser, so you may need to transfer file.sam.html to your local machine to view it in a browser.
