If you need to make copies or print exams as part of your TA duties for a BME class, you may do so at one of several printers in BME. Please ensure you have access and troubleshoot any issues as early as possible in the semester you will TA.

How do I make copies?

A copy code is needed to make black and white or color copies on any of the machines. Contact it@bme.utexas.edu to request a code.

How do I print in color?

A copy code is needed to print in color. Contact it@bme.utexas.edu to request a code. Color copies and printing should be used sparingly as it comes at a cost of 4 cents per page for color print jobs. Billing is on a per job basis, so a 200-page color print job with only 3 color pages is charged as 200 pages.

How do I install printers and drivers on my computer?

If you are on a computer that is a member of the Austin.utexas.edu domain, the BME Ricoh printers and drivers will be automatically installed. If you are using your personal computer, follow these instructions to install the printers and drivers on your personal computer: https://utexas.box.com/s/urjmnmd3ocmm2fcr5xco.

Where can I print or make copies?

You may use the Ricoh printers in BME 1.108, 4.202, and 5.202 to print in color and black and white. You may also use the Ricoh printer in BME 3.308AG (advising office) to print high capacity jobs in black and white only.

I still have questions. Who should I contact?

If you have any questions about printing or copying as a BME TA, please contact it@bme.utexas.edu. Additional IT resources can be found here: Information Technology (IT) Services
