ID Card

The Graduate Program Administrator will request ID card access to the CPE building from our Building Manager, Shallaco McDonald. Students should reach out to Shallaco McDonald at smcdonald@che.utexas.edu with any building access questions or issues.

UT laboratory safety training modules MUST BE COMPLETED before keys to offices and laboratories can be issued. More information is available at Safety – Laboratory and Building.

Keys

Once safety training modules are completed, students’ supervisors can email a key request to Shallaco McDonald for specific offices and labs. This email should NOT come directly from the student. Shallaco will then initiate an electronic key request. The student will then receive an email with instructions for picking up the physical key.  Locks and Key Services is located in a temporary trailer on Speedway (near Speedway Garage and on the side of the CPE building). 

You will have 30 days to pick up your key! A restocking fee will be charged to your PI's account. An account number is required for a key request. Ask your PI for the account number and notify Shallaco. 

All keys must be returned in person to Shallaco McDonald when completing the department Exit Survey.
