To make sure the scaling of your videos do not get messed up, we will export it

as a QuickTime and bring it back into Premiere instead of straight copy and pasting

it. This way, the dimensions of your video files will not be manipulated in any way

that is undesired.

Locate your timeline that you are going to add your surround sound mix and

Export it go to >File>Export>Media

Choose File Name

Where to save it by clicking the Blue Type on Location

Choose the Preset DNxHR/DNxHD MXF Op1a

Scaling YOU WILL HAVE TO SCALE YOUR FILE

Double click on your video file in the timeline

If you do not see the effect controls tab, click on this icon in the top right corner of your screen to bring up the effects panel.

Then hit Effect Controls to scale your file

Drop down the Motion setting and on scale select that parameter

Drag the slider to scale the image in the frame

Scale the image down to 50% or until you see black around the frame then scale it up till you don't see any black

Some aspect ratios (e.g. 4:3) will have black on the sides. The point is to not have any unwanted exposed black sides or cut off the image

Don't want to see this small black edge to the right or left side

Scale till you don't see any black line on the right or left side

Flat DCP may choose to leave a slight letterbox on the top and bottom that is up to you

Scope DCP will have letterboxing on the top and bottom
