It should contain:

    • 1. History (backstory)
    • 2. What Just Happened (antecedent action)
    • 3. Objective (What the character needs or wants)
    • 4. Issues/What is at Stake/The Problem/The Obstacle
    • 5. Action Verbs/Intention (What the actor is doing)
    • 6. Adjustments
      • a. "as if"
      • b. "what if"
      • c. "it's like when"
    • 7. Subtext
    • 8. Physical Life (Body, Clothing, Environment, Objects, Activities)

      Imaginative choices
  • antecedent action
    • the beat that happened beforehand. A scene that happened before the one that is being done.
      *objectives/actions
    • objective is what the character needs or wants. Actions are the steps the character takes to obtain those needs or wants
  • what's at stake
    • make sure that your characters don't just react to the scene, but that they are actively listening to the other character. Not just spouting off lines
  • adjustments
    • as if
    • what if
    • it's like when
    • subtext
    • what is under the surface. The thoughts of the character, subtext could be undercutting the characterâ??s actions. Depending on the subtext of the line, the line could come out very differently.
