Reverberant field: when there are so many reflections that they can no longer be distinguished

Little lost on this one...

  • In extreme examples of reverb (digitally created, I don\'t think this kind of thing happens very easily naturally), if the reflection is very efficient (not much absorbtion into the environment) the echo/reverb will eventually multiply until you\'re hearing a huge unintelligible mass of chaos that can\'t even be separated into individual echoes. This happens a lot with microphone feedback loops. --Brandt
