Pan - Pan are shots in which the camera is simply swiveled horizontally on a tripod
Tilt - Tilts are similar to pans except its movement is vertical
Dolly - A dolly is a wheeled vehicle with a camera mounting device. In dolly shots, the background changes. Movements are: Dolly in, dolly out, push in, pull out. Dolly shots go from one proxemis position to another from the random information of a long shot to the specifics of a close up or vice versa.
Track - When the camera is mounted on a dolly, it can also move alongside a stationary action in what is called a tracking shot. A tracking shot follows alongside, in front of, or behind a moving subject the characters position in the frame remains roughly the same, and what changes is the background.
Crane/boom - A camera crane has a single elevating arm on a rolling vehicle. Used mainly to give high shots or omniscient views of the action. Cranes can be dollied or even tracked.
Zoom - This is a movement of the lens to amplify the image on the camera. It is not a true "movement" but may function as such.
Handheld - Shots lack the smoothness to which so many technical resources are devoted. Popular in documentary or experimental film. Essentially, someone holds the camera, and thus the camera may seem jerky.
