At the bottom of the monitor is the task bar. Programs and applications pinned to the task bar can be launched with a single click. They are much like a shortcut in that they remove the need to navigate to a frequently used program or file. Any program can be added to the task bar by selecting the desired program, and right clicking. The menu that pops up allows you to select Pin to Taskbar. Programs in the taskbar stay there until unpinned.
