7. When prompted for the type of license key, select "Server-Based Floating License"

9. Ensure the Floating License Database Type is set to XML and enter "\\msb-flexnet.austin.utexas.edu\SimioLicense\SimioFloating.XML" as the Floating License Location, then click Register. You should see a message telling you if you successfully registered your computer or not.

910. Simio is now licensed and ready for you to use it. From now on whenever you launch Simio you should see a message similar to the following as long as Simio is able to reach the licensing server.


911. The licensing server is accessible from all campus wired and wireless networks, but from off campus you will need to connect in through the UT VPN system first. If you see the message telling you that no license key was found when you launch Simio, it most likely means your networking is disabled or you are on a a non-campus network and need to establish a VPN connection to reach the licensing server.
