The Linux Lab is available for Graduate student use anytime a class is not in session. Please request access to room JGB 3.216B using the  Building Access Form.  All DGS graduate students can run many windows and Linux applications. A partial list is below. In particular you might be interested in the Windows Remote Desktop and the "Virtual Desktop" 

Unix Applications 

These can be run from the command line or the Applications Menu (Mostly under the "DGS Software" menu)
