Students should pay careful attention to deadlines for registering and changing registration. Deadlines for fall 2017.

Students can add or drop courses, or switch between credit and no-credit status online through the 4th class day of the fall or spring semester.

From the 5th to the 12th class day, students must contact the graduate coordinator for the department hosting the course they want to change.  List of graduate coordinators for all departments.

For Chemical Engineering course changes through the 12th class day, email the Chemical Engineering Graduate Coordinator with your EID, and the unique IDs of the courses you want to change. If you are adding a course, the coordinator will also want to see an email from the instructor giving you permission to late-add.

In the summer, changes can only be made through the 4th class day.

To make course changes after the 12th class day (4th in the summer), a carbon copy form and a petition letter must be signed by all instructors and the graduate advisor, and delivered to the graduate school by the student. There are no refunds for dropped courses after the 12th class day. Students should make sure they have registered for the correct courses, and fully understand the course requirements by the 12th class day.

The last day to change course status from Credit to No-Credit is April 2, in Spring 2018. Check with the Graduate Coordinator for Summer and Fall dates, and to get an Add/Drop form.
