Portfolio Server 10 was developed by Extensis based out of Portland, Oregon. It is described by Extensis as a system that "helps you finally centralize, categorize, and then visualize your extensive library for quick search and streamlined file sharing." 1 Assets cataloged with Portfolio can be accessed on a desktop client as well as a web client. Most users will use the web client only. In this way, Portfolio Server 10 is marketed specifically for Digital Asset Management systems like the one at UMCS.
