BME PhD students are guaranteed a minimum stipend ($24,500 as of Fall 2015), tuition, and insurance coverage for the duration of their program as long as they are making progress towards their degree as determined by their faculty supervisor.
The minimum stipend is provided through:
- Teaching Assistant (TA) appointment (2 semesters required)
- Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) appointment
- and/or Fellowships
Continuing student fellowship nominations happen in May of each year, after recruitment fellowships have been awarded.
