Purpose

Technology Resources (TRecs) is providing GIS Portal user administration through the use of departmental logins.  Critical to this change is the designation of credential owners. 

Expectations

Credential owners will be responsible for user access assignment to login credentials through Stache, reinforcing data safety policies to users, and password updates on an annual basis or as-needed.  

Method

• Each Portal departmental account will be tied to an entry in Stache with both a TRecs admin and a credential owner providing collaborative control.  
• Authorized users of the Portal credential will be added to or removed as determined by the credential owner.  
  
  

Note: View-only departmental accounts may be shared with multiple personnel. Editors accounts require assignment of a single user who is designated as the credential user.
