IGRINS Status:

IGRINS will be was operated successfully as a visiting instrument on the 8.1 m in Gemini South telescope in 2018A. In fall 2018, it is planed to be operated at 4.3 m Discovery Channel Telescope at Lowell observatory. The next proposal/queue request call is scheduled for the summer of 2018.

When IGRINS returns to the Discovery Channel Telescope at Lowell observatory we will restart the UT/KASI queue. Queue time will be scheduled between October 2018 and April 2019.

There is no deadline for queue requests, but we require at least 1 week to get your requests into the queue. Earlier requests have a higher likelihood of being completed. If the queue is oversubscribed then we will ask the McDonald TAC to prioitize programs based on the text in the request form.
