Make sure the Thunderbolt cable is plugged into the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro as shown here.

Check that the Thunder bolt cable is plugged into the IMac

Go to the >Apple>System Preferences

Go to the Blackmagic Design setting

Set to the following settings in this frame grab

Output>HDMI and Component

Default Video standard as HD 720p 60

Open ProTools>File >Create New Session or open existing session

>Create a Blank session

Save to tempstorage

Track>
New track one track

Create a Mono Track

On every track


Go to the "Edit Window View Selector" drop down





Choose I/O




Set all channels to Stereo Monitor (Stereo) or Stereo Monitor L and or R depending on your needs.

Use this knob for volume for Headphones and control room audio

Push this button to increase volume for CR or Control room which is feeding the Mackie Mixer


Plug in Headphones here that will feed the soundbooth headphones

Push this button repeatedly to get to the HP not CR setting to set to HP (headphone) that controls the amount of volume feeding the headphones that should be on the person in the soundbooth

Next Import the video into the project

Choose Import Video

Turn on the two Dell Monitors.
1 in sound booth and 1 in recording suite

Navigate to the video file that you want to view in the ProTools session

Choose to import at Session Start

Choose to enable the Video Engine

Click Yes here

If you would like to use the audio off the video file choose to save it to the default Audio Drive folder

You don't have to set anything to see video out it will send it out automatically if you have the Black Magic Design Intensity Pro Connected properly. Review steps at the beginning of the document if you do not see image on the monitors.

Plug in the Mic in the Sound Booth to the mic input connected to the ProTools board.

Also plug in the Headphones for the Audio Talent

When recording audio to eliminate the headphone latency you can turn on

"Low Latency Monitoring"

Go into the ProTools Menus >Windows > Show I/O view to display the I/O view on the track



and select A1 (Mono) or A1 A2 (Stereo)

Record as needed using normal ProTools recording procedure by hitting play on the transport window while the record button is enabled.

Should see input levels in ProTools I/O view. Set inputs so the levels are in the green to yellow areas. If levels are going into red then turn down input faders on Mixing Board (explained above.)
