Set all channels to Stereo Monitor (Stereo) or Stereo Monitor L and or R depending on your needs.
Use this knob for volume for Headphones and control room audio | |
Push this button repeatedly to get to the HP not CR setting to set to HP (headphone) that controls the amount of volume feeding the headphones that should be on the person in the soundbooth | |
Next Import the video into the project | |
Navigate to the video file that you want to view in the ProTools session | |
Choose to import at Session Start | |
Choose to enable the Video Engine | |
If you would like to use the audio off the video file choose to save it to the default Audio Drive folder |
You don't have to set anything to see video out it will send it out automatically if you have the Black Magic Design Intensity Pro Connected properly. Review steps at the beginning of the document if you do not see image on the monitors.

When recording audio to eliminate the headphone latency you can turn on | |
Go into the ProTools Menus >Windows > Show I/O view to display the I/O view on the track | |

Record as needed using normal ProTools recording procedure by hitting play on the transport window while the record button is enabled. | |
Should see input levels in ProTools I/O view. Set inputs so the levels are in the green to yellow areas. If levels are going into red then turn down input faders on Mixing Board (explained above.) |
