Cooperating teachers and field supervisors of student teachers are required by the State to complete mentor training within the first three weeks of the student teachers' placements.
In order to receive credit towards this requirement, please visit our new Cooperating Teacher Mentor Training site. Once you complete the training, the Field Experiences Office will receive a confirmation of your completion.

This online training module has been designed for cooperating teachers who will work with preservice teachers at The University of Texas at Austin during their student teaching experience. Materials are based on the Coaching with Care model, and reflect an emphasis on reflective practice, teacher growth, and evaluation based on student feedback.
The content is intended to be self-paced, and should take approximately 90 minutes to complete. Some sections include brief reflective assessments at their conclusion. You monitor your progress in the module in the navigation menu.
