Cooperating teachers and field supervisors of student teachers are required by State law to complete mentor training within the first three weeks of the student teachers' placements.
Instructions
Select “Begin” to open the first of 15 sections when you first enter the site.
Advance from section to section by clicking the box at the bottom or top depending on which direction you want to move. The navigation panel on the left side will show your progress.
Once you finish all sections, which should take about 90 minutes, your reflective questions responses will be recorded to document your successful completion of the training.
Reflective questions can be found at the end of sections 1, 3, 11, 12, and 14. For the section 1 reflective questions, you'll need to scroll down past the Longhorn Creed.
If you leave and re-enter the site before finishing the training, the navigation panel starts back at 0% completion. Just start back where you left off. There’s no need to re-submit responses to the reflective questions.
