The week 1 class will involve a brief overview of R for those who have never used this software before (or who feel very rusty in their skills). Please bring a laptop to class. We'll download and install R and its companion GUI R Studio, and play with simple object manipulations. These programs work on Windows, Mac and Linux.
Remember to charge your laptop before class; there are a few power outlets in the room, but there number is limited.
