Setting up Outlook Office for Mac 2016 For the First time. 

  1. Make sure that you have an active wireless or wired connection when connecting to your Outlook account for the first time. Open Outlook from Applications or the Dock
  2. Choose the Exchange or Office 365 option. 
  3. Put in your law school email address in the email field.  In the Authentication section, choose username and password as the method.  In the username field type in Austin\UT EID. In the password field type in your UT EID password and then click Add Account
  4. You will see this prompt after you click Add Account. Check the box that says "Always use my response for this server" and then click on Allow
  5. Name the account and you are finished.  Please allow for initial slowness, depending on the data size of your mailbox, upon first connection.
