Solo the track that has the non camera or (double system) audio that you want to use and make sure it is in sync.

Advanced Questions if you have more audio tracks that are not getting synced. You don't need to read on if you are happy with the synced tracks.

Remaining question is how to get certain audio tracks to be in the group clip and we figured it out kinda.

Basically it has to do with the list in the bin.  The audio of the clip sorted higher in the list will take priority in the process.

In other words if the video file is listed first the audio from the video file will be all included.  If the audio file is listed first then all the audio from the audio file will be included in the grouped clip.

Note that if you want all the audio tracks from your sound file make sure it is listed first in the bin

See Example:

When you group this all the audio from the sound file will be included in the grouped clip but

none of the camera audio will be included. . .

Here if you group the clip all the camera audio from the video file will be included but

Only one track of the sound file will be included.

First import your audio into AVID

We don't recommend transcoding audio

The only way around this is to decide what audio you want to use from your audio tracks and make a new master clip of that and or modify your video clips to only have one track of audio. You have to keep the at least one track of audio on your video track to use "waveform analysis"

To Modify your Video clip to only have one audio track

Select it in the Bin

Image Removed

Unlink the Media from the clip by going to >Clip>Modify>Unlink Media

Once the clip is Relinked group the clip again following the same steps at the beginning of the wiki
