Go to "Media storage" window and navigate to the volume and folder storing the reference quicktime movie |

Go to the "Clip Details" window and right click on the quicktime and select "Add as Offline clip" |

Click on the "conform" Tab and |
|
Click in the Timeline Management window. Click on the Offline clip section and select the drop down choose the quicktime that was just imported |
|
|
|
In the source window click on the "Offline" tab and the offline clip will appear with the matching timecode of the loaded session to use as reference. |
