Quest wants your exam to go smoothly, for your students, your, and our well being. Please set yourself up for success by going through this quick reference checklist before each of your exams.

Have I....

1)  Communicated with students ahead of time what they can expect? (If proctoring with Quest, more here.)

2) Requested all students follow the recommendations before taking an online test.

3) Articulated a procedure with students what actions to take in case of webcam problems, or technology issues (ie immediately email/zoom me/questhelp@austin.utexas.edu, wait 10 minutes, try again/follow suggestions).

4) Sent questhelp@austin.utexas.edu a list of my SSD students UT eids and time extensions, and confirmed all looks good on the exam dashboard.

5) Identified students who may need to be in different start time groups, and asked for the staggered group start time feature to be turned on from questhelp@austin.utexas.edu. Once activated you can add groups and sort your students groups.

6) (for now) Make your last question #232947 and set it to zero points. Per feedback, students now can change their answers, but once there is a response for all questions the assignment will close and students will not be able to change any answers even if they do have more time. Padding your assignment with this one question will make that obvious.

7) Published my assignment 48 hours before students access it in order for additional pre-checks conducted by the Quest team to take place.

8) Granted late submits to SSD students who will be using their time past the due date. (More info on how all these timing elements work together here.)

9) Walk through the exam (as a student with staggered starts, or as a preview) to make sure all looks good.

10) Conduct a test simulation with your students a few days before their actual assessment so you too can practice some of the new offerings on exam dashboard: monitoring webcam footage, extending the time (for an individual or group of students), changing the beginning start time for groups of students (or on your exam settings page for all sections), and changing a grade manually

If problems surface please let quest know (questhelp@austin.utexas.edu ) in real time. Note-if testing after normal business hours please either let quest know you would like support available or expect there to be extended delays in responding.
